The Analytical Consultants team has experience throughout the eastern United States. Our primary market is the Triangle Area of North Carolina encompassing Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill and the surrounding area including Wake, Durham, Orange, Chatham, Johnston and Alamance Counties. We are also licensed to provide commercial appraisal services in Virginia, South Carolina and Georgia.

Founded in 1981 by Lee Butzin, MBA, Analytical Consultants provides diverse appraisal and consulting services to financial institutions, government agencies, attorneys and private developers.

In 2010 Joseph Hunt, CAE, MAI and John Smith, CAE joined our staff, bringing over 60 years of ad valorem experience to Hunt, Smith and Snow, a special division of Analytical Consultants. Although Joseph Hunt retired in 2014, Analytical Consultants continues to provide services specific to ad valorem taxation. In 2015, the firm provided ad valorem consulting services to Orange, Durham and Wake Counties in North Carolina.

Analytical Consultants President Paul Snow, MAI, is a General Appraiser with certifications in North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Georgia. He graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 1995 with a Bachelor's Degree in Public Policy and Analysis.

Experienced with both residential and commercial property, Mr. Snow has specialized experience in the appraisal of net lease and LIHTC (low income housing tax credit) properties. Paul is a member of the Appraisal Institute and a member of TCAR (Triangle Commercial Association of Realtors).
